Bon Odori Festival at Ukita, Edogawa

Last night me and some friends attended the Bon Odori (Bon Dance) at Ukita, Edogawa (near Funabori). Such festivals are currently being held throughout Japan and they are quite popular. On my way to Ukita from Minami kasai I noticed many other Bon Odori were simultaneously taking place in Edogawa. There were lots of joyous people, lots of kids, lots of women dressed in yukata (casual summer kimono), lots of food, lots of beer, and a few drunk chaps curious to have a conversation with a French-Canadian! Why not? Good times.
