Kasai higashi koen

Kasai higashi koen is a nice lovely park located eastward of Kasai station. The park is hidden behind apartment towers and can be found next to dark unfriendly grey pillars raising Tozai line through Edogawa. I frequently pass by the area while riding my bicycle to Kasai station, or when I'm on my way to school or to my in-laws's place. I find this area to be convenient because it allows me to bypass the traffic near Kasai station. Trust me, riding a bicycle on Kan-nana's sidewalks near the station can be tricky and time consuming. So why bother? Anyway, during the day the park is filled with kids running around filled with excitment and happy looking mothers conversing with each other. Then at night the park users are of a different type; dillusioned workers, sometimes drunk, perhaps seeking peace for a few minutes. Of course, you can see teens there too. Also, I've witnessed on a few occasions during summer young women wearing yukata playing with fireworks (firecrackers are allowed here). It was a nice spectacle to witness. So here is a pic of the park. It's obviously not the best one and doesn't give justice to the description I have just written. It was taken early morning and the angle is definitaly not the best. Actually, what I find interesting here is that star shapped clock you can see at the forefront. For some reason, when I'm on my way to school and it's bright sunny outside, the view of this is enough to make my day. Ok maybe not that much but for a few seconds I feel disconnected with the busy life I'm currently leading.
