General Edogawa Pictures Taken From Rinkai-cho 5 Chome
Featured here are more general views of the southern part of Edogawa-ku (and more to come!). This time the pictures were taken from the top of two Kosha-heim residential towers. For those who are curious, here is what Kosha-heim looks like from Kasai rinkai koen's aquarium.
Behind that big light blue building you will find the Kan-nana boulevard and the industrial park of Rinkai-cho. The street with the sharp turn marks the placement of the old dykes.
Looking towards north you can see Minami-kasai. If you have good eyesight you might be able to see the big sign which is on the top of Higashi-kasai's Ito Yokado-Riverside Mall (small white cube in the middle of the pic). Top right we see parts of the Nagisa Newtown complex.
Au loin on peut voir Nagisa newtown. En avant-plan on retrouve une école. / The big white buildings out in the far are the Nagisa Newtown complex. Seems like it was recess time for a few students down below.
We move on to Maihama ohashi bridge which crosses the Edogawa River. Tokyo Disney, Uruyasu-Chiba, is on the other side of the river.
Here is Kasai rinkai koen on the other side of the highway. The large white and flat building on the left is the bird observatory, and the glass dome on the right is the aquarium.
Another view of Kasai rinkai koen here, with it's famous Daya to hana wheel. This highway will eventually cross the Sumida River and from there you can either go to Odaiba or Koto-ku.
Back to Rinkai-cho to complete the 360 degrees view. These buildings in the industrial park are a bit more colorful than what you can find in Montreal. Also, since space is limited industrial buildings tend to be higher than in North America.
