On retrouve des machines distributrices partout au Japon, c'en est hallucinant. On peut même les retrouver dans des coins complètement perdus. La plupart de ces machines offrent des breuvages non alcoolisés et des cigarettes mais on peut en retrouver aussi qui vendent du riz, de l'alcool (bière, sake), de la crème glacée, du ramen (genre de soupe), des sous-vêtements, etc... Le sujet à probablement été abordé maintes fois dans divers blogs, rien n'empêche on ne peut pas passer à côté. Quant à expliquer le pourquoi du nombre élevé de machines de la sorte, je soupçonne qu'on veuille prendre avantage d'une situation; celui de nous faire dépenser les pièces yens qui traînent et alourdissent nos poches après une dure journée au travail. Aussi, le vandalisme n'est pas aussi fréquent ici qu'en Amérique par exemple.

Tenez, j'ai fait un petit montage en bas. J'ai photographié quelques machines distributrices de breuvages non alcoolisé de la station Kasai à chez nous. Le parcours à la marche prend vingt-cinq minutes grosso modo. J'en ai manqué plusieurs en route, dont les machines distributrices de cigarettes. Ça représente un bon échatillion quand même.

Vending machines, they're eveywhere in Japan. You can even find them in remote locations. Mind blowing to say the least. Most offer soft drinks and cigarettes, but you can find some that will sell rice, alcohol (sake, beer), ice cream, ramen, underwears, and so on... I know I'm not being original here discussing about this topic but let's face it, a Japan blog without any mention of vending machines is not a real Japan blog. Ok I'm stretching things a bit but anyone who's been living here know what I mean. Why are there so many of these machines here? My theory is there's some kind of conspiracy out there. Companies want to take advantage about the fact that people are usually annoyed with all the coin change they have in their pockets at the end of the day. So killing two birds with a stone you get to drink something refreshing while getting rid of some change. Also, vandalism here is not as common as in North America.

Just for fun I decided to take some pictures of vending machines from Kasai station to my appartment. It's a twenty-five minutes walk. I missed a few and also did not take pics of cigarettes vending machines but this should give you an idea.
